FUE vs DHI Hair Transplant: Which Is Right for You?

Both FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) extract individual follicular units. The difference is in implantation, not harvesting.

FUE

Slits are made first, grafts placed second. Allows higher per-session graft counts and excellent angulation control — preferred for large sessions and hairlines.

DHI

Implanter pens place the graft directly without pre-made slits. Useful for filling thinning zones between existing hair without trimming surrounding follicles.
